Individualized, evidence-based speech-language therapy services delivered through a fully virtual model.
The Virtual Speech Room provides individualized, evidence-based speech-language therapy services to school-aged children through a fully virtual model. All services are tailored to the child's unique strengths, needs, and communication goals, with an emphasis on functional skills and meaningful progress.
Therapy is designed for children who are able to attend and actively participate in virtual sessions. Parent collaboration and ongoing communication are integral components of all services to support carryover beyond the therapy session.
Articulation therapy focuses on helping children produce speech sounds clearly and accurately. Services target sound errors that impact speech intelligibility and may include individual sounds, sound patterns, or sound sequencing at the word, phrase, sentence, and conversational levels.
Intervention is evidence-based and structured, with therapy activities designed to support generalization of correct sound production into everyday communication.
Expressive language therapy supports a child's ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, and needs effectively. Services may address vocabulary development, sentence structure, grammar, storytelling, and overall clarity of expression.
Therapy is individualized to support functional communication across daily interactions, helping children express themselves with confidence.
Receptive language therapy focuses on strengthening a child's understanding of spoken language. Intervention may target following directions, understanding vocabulary and concepts, comprehending questions, and processing information accurately.
Therapy supports improved understanding and engagement in everyday conversations and activities.
Fluency therapy is designed to support children who experience stuttering or other disruptions in the flow of speech. Services focus on building effective communication strategies, increasing awareness, and supporting confidence while speaking.
Therapy is individualized and child-centered, with an emphasis on functional communication and emotional support throughout the process.
Pragmatic language therapy supports social communication skills such as conversational turn-taking, topic maintenance, perspective-taking, and appropriate communication across different situations.
Intervention is designed to help children navigate social interactions more effectively and build meaningful connections with others.
Parent collaboration is a core component of services at The Virtual Speech Room. Families receive ongoing communication, education, and strategies to support carryover of skills outside of therapy sessions.
Therapy is most effective when families feel informed, supported, and confident in how to reinforce communication skills in everyday life.
